I am a moderate bike geek as I only have five bikes right now: an 2016 electric-assist folder that I recently got after I badly broke my shoulder; a 2014 Brompton S2L folder; a 2005 Trek Pilot 2.1 road bike; a 1975 Peugeot UO18 Mixte road bike heavily modified into a custom commuter; and a Dahonesque folder. I've owned many, many more in the past but had to downsize to just five. I've been doing my own bike repairs and modifications since the late 1980s. I ride my bikes mainly in Japan and on the east and west coasts of the United States.
